Brothers and Sisters!

Allah has bestowed many of His Great favors on His slaves.

His right Hand is always full of gifts and He is generous every day and night.

He portions out provision for whomsoever He wishes with no reckoning. He tests His servants with blessings as He tests them with calamities. He says, “And We shall make a trial of you with evil and with good, and to Us you will be returned.” (Qur’an 21:35)

If you were to join the Prophet (pbuh) for a meal, what would he serve?  Allah Most High gave us clear instructions regarding what to eat: “O people!  Eat of that which is lawful and wholesomely good in the earth…”  (Qur’an 2:168)

Even the most prominent opponents of Islam will admit that Islam does not promote nor approve of or agree with the dogma of the trinity, as we know it to be associated with or definitive of modern-day Christianity. In fact, Islam is quite well-known in all circles to be strictly against any idea of presentation of any associate partners for God. The main underlying lesson or teaching of Islam is that of monotheism: “Allah! Laa ilaha illa huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Ever Living, the One Who sustains and protects all that exists.” (Qur’an 3:2) and “Verily, your God is indeed one (i.e. Allah)” (Qur’an 37:4).

AL-IMAM ABU ZAKARIYA YAHYA AL-NAWAWI

                                            The Prolific Author (631 A.H. –

Al-Imam al-Nawawi whose name is Yahyya was born in the month of Muharram, 631 A.H. in Nawa, Syria, of simple parents, his father being a shop keeper in the small town or village.

Question 76: In matters related to bathing, why do Muslims waste large amounts of water for bathing, while it might be possible to wash the private parts only, like an apple falling from a bag, it is enough to wash it in isolation of the other apples in the bag.

 In speaking of, or even thinking about, an unbreakable promise, the first thing that comes to my mind as an analogy is ‘the impossible dream’. ‘The Impossible Dream’ was a song made popular in the late 1960’s to early 1970’s, the lyrics of which are quite memorable as well as emanating a honorable stance/hope of human achievement: to dream the impossible dream, to fight the unbeatable foe, to go where the brave dare not go…and then eventually…to reach the unreachable star. It is interesting to note that this song evolved as the theme song for which started out as a Broadway play and then a Hollywood movie about the days of the Spanish Inquisition. Perhaps some may think this not necessarily applicable here, but then again, perhaps these lyrics are indeed quite applicable, regardless of the scene of the movie or play that they originally accompanied.

AL-IMAM MUHAMMAD IBN ISMAIL AL-BUKHARI

Hero of the Hadeeth (d.259 A.H.)

It is a well-known fact that there are two primary sources for Islamic teachings: the first being the Holy Qur'an, the exact words of the Almighty God, and the second the Hadeeth, which is the collection of the traditions of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) reporting his own sayings, actions and reactions. The Hadeeth (Prophetic traditions) thus represent the second major source of Islamic teachings. In the Hadeeth we find elucidation of Qur’anic injunctions and the Qur'anic teachings in action. We are told that someone asked Aisha (wife of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) about his conduct. She answered "His conduct was the Qur'an" (meaning the Qur'an in action and application).

 With our stressful, fast-paced lifestyles we are consuming more and more low nutrients whether from restaurants, fast-food outlets, frozen foods, chemical, pesticide and hormone laden proteins, milk products, breads and cereals, fruits, vegetables, fats and sweets.  Our Guide and Creator who loves and cares for the well-being of His creatures told us to:

“Eat wholesome/healthy/lawful foods and do good deeds.  Verily, I know all that you do” (Qur’an 23:51)

“O People!  Eat of that which is lawful and good on the earth…”  (Qur’an 2:168)

1. A sick person should perform prayer in a standing position, even if he/she has to bend, lean against a wall or rely on a stick.

Just close your eyes and imagine…

Just close your eyes and imagine, You have just one more day to live;

One more day to show Allah, What "Jannah" He should give?

To say goodbye to your family, And all your closest friends;

To ask for forgiveness, And try to make amends;
